I’ve crossed many bridges in my lifetime.
Some were made of wood.
Some of steel.
Some stretched over rivers.
Others crossed deep valleys.
Every one of them had a single purpose.
To connect what had become separated.
Forgiveness works the same way.
It doesn’t erase what happened.
It simply refuses to let the separation have the final word.
I’ve discovered that forgiveness is one of the bravest things a person can ever choose.
Not because it’s easy.
But because it sets two people free.
The one who receives it.
And the one who gives it.
BUILD THE BRIDGE
Pride builds walls.
Humility builds bridges.
Bitterness widens the canyon.
Grace quietly spans it.
The strongest people I know are not those who never get hurt.
They’re the ones who refuse to let hurt become their identity.
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
Every bridge begins from both sides.
Someone simply decides to start building.
Why not let that someone be you?
PUT LEGS ON IT
Make the phone call.
Write the letter.
Offer the apology.
Extend forgiveness.
Pray for someone who wounded you.
