NO ONE GOT TO WHERE THEY ARE WITHOUT HELP

GOD CREATED YOU, PARENTS GAVE BIRTH TO YOU

YOU HELPED YOURSELF WHILE OTHERS PITCHED IN

Life has been teaching us something…

Since the beginning.

Nothing truly lives…

Alone.

One of the remarkable things about life is that it was never designed to stand alone.

Look around.

The tree depends upon the soil.

The soil depends upon countless unseen organisms.

Flowers depend upon bees.

Birds depend upon the wind.

The rivers depend upon gravity.

The oceans quietly answer to the moon.

Everything in creation participates with something else.

Life continually supports life.

Perhaps…

Human beings were designed the very same way.

HELP ONE ANOTHER

When I stop and think about my own journey, I quickly realize I didn’t get here alone.

Someone opened a door.

Someone believed in me before I believed in myself.

Someone taught me.

Someone corrected me.

Someone encouraged me.

Someone forgave me.

Someone stayed when they could have walked away.

The more I reflect…

The more people I remember.

Gratitude quietly begins replacing pride.

THE GREAT CONNECTION

We sometimes imagine that independence is the highest achievement.

Nature quietly disagrees.

Every ecosystem survives because everything participates.

Nothing exists only for itself.

The forest gives shade.

The rivers give water.

The flowers feed the bees.

The bees help the flowers.

Giving and receiving have always traveled together.

Perhaps that is one of life’s greatest secrets.

THE GIFT OF HELPING

There is something beautiful that happens when we help another person.

We often think we are giving.

Yet somehow…

We leave richer than when we arrived.

The smile we receive.

The gratitude in another’s eyes.

The quiet satisfaction of knowing someone’s burden became lighter.

Generosity has a remarkable way of rewarding both hands.

THE INVISIBLE BUILDERS

Most of the people who helped shape our lives will never become famous.

Teachers.

Parents.

Neighbors.

Co-workers.

Grandparents.

Friends.

Mentors.

Strangers.

Quiet people who simply decided to care.

History may never record their names.

Heaven already has.

THE INVITATION

The next time you see someone struggling…

Pause.

Ask yourself a simple question.

“What would I hope someone would do for me?”

Then…

Become that person.

Offer your hand.

Share your wisdom.

Give your time.

Speak encouragement.

Extend forgiveness.

Listen.

Sometimes the greatest gift isn’t solving someone’s problem.

It’s reminding them they don’t have to face it alone.

Life has always been helping life.

Perhaps…

We were invited to continue the tradition.
