Somewhere along the journey of modern life…

sex and intimacy switched places.

And many people have been starving for real connection ever since.

Somewhere over generations of time, sex slowly replaced intimacy…

and the world has suffered from the confusion ever since.

Many still do not fully understand how powerful it is for a man to simply hold a woman.

To comfort her.
To listen to her.
To WANT her beyond the physical.

Truthfully…

both men and women deeply need this kind of reassurance.

SEX IS OVERSTATED AND OVERRATED

Sex occupies only a small portion of the time two people actually spend together throughout life.

It is not the glue that holds people together.

At best…
it is only one place where the glue gets applied.

Human beings require nourishment far beyond the physical.

Emotional connection.
Psychological growth.
Mental stimulation.
Spiritual closeness.

Without these…
relationships slowly weaken from within.

DO YOU REALLY KNOW ME?

To truly know another human being is an adventure.

People are mysterious.

Even understanding ourselves can take a lifetime.

So when another person opens their heart…
shares their fears…
dreams…
insecurities…
hopes…

that is an extraordinary gift.

Real intimacy begins there.

THE PLEASURE OF SOMEONE’S COMPANY

As life has gone on, I have learned to appreciate something simple:

Someone’s company.

A peaceful conversation.
Shared laughter.
Comfortable silence.
Mutual appreciation.

These things quietly become priceless.

To compliment another person…
and be complimented in return…

adds value to life itself.

THE POWER OF A HUG AND A KISS

Human beings need affection.

Children especially require healthy emotional nourishment growing up.

Without it, many begin searching for fulfillment elsewhere long before they are emotionally prepared.

And often…
complications follow.

Confusion enters.

Because physical intimacy without emotional grounding can leave the soul emptier instead of fuller.

Love must come first.

THE TWO FUNDAMENTALS

After all these years, two truths continue standing out clearly to me:

  1. Everyone wants to be loved.
  2. No one wants to be alone.

These two realities quietly drive much of human behavior.

HOW WE GO ABOUT IT

Unfortunately many people seek love through unhealthy patterns and repeated dysfunction.

Activity increases…
but change never arrives.

Repeating what does not work eventually produces frustration and emotional exhaustion.

Real connection requires honesty, growth and self-awareness.

WHAT THEN?

“To be fruitful and multiply” is one thing.

But to truly love one another…

that is another thing entirely.

Perhaps St. Augustine said it best:

“Love first…
then do as you will.”

Because when genuine love leads the way…

much else naturally begins falling into proper place.
