INTIMACY WILL SEAL THE DEAL! LET’S BRING LOVINGNESS TO BEAR
BE VULNERABLE. TRUST ONE ANOTHER & BUILD ON IT
Failure to correct a disconnect allows meaningless to enter in
We have more ways to contact one another than ever before.
Yet many people have never felt more alone.
Maybe the signal is strong—but the CONNECTION is weak.
There is one thing that gives mankind deep satisfaction: CONNECTION.
I am not talking about being connected on the surface. I am talking about connecting on the SOUL level.

Satisfaction is guaranteed—plus more—when the soul is fed.
Why?
Because when you feed the soul, you feed everything.
Going without this manna produces constant want, need and unrest. You may continue searching, buying, eating, scrolling, working and accumulating—yet never feel completely satisfied.
Never being satisfied is NOT good.
SATISFACTION
I am not talking about closing a business deal, receiving a material gain or purchasing another worldly possession.
NO.
The human being is complex. We have physical, psychological, spiritual, mental and emotional needs.
They all need feeding.
But wait!
One part is regularly forgotten, and it may be the most important part of all.
THE SPIRIT
Housed within your body is your spirit.
You would not be YOU without it. It is who you truly are and who you were created to be.
Your spirit possesses eternal qualities. It answers to dynamics beyond this world while still being affected by what happens in this world.
The soul is your inner command center—your HQ.
When everything outside you receives attention while everything inside you is ignored, something begins to starve.
You may look full while feeling empty.
That is a LIFE DISCONNECT.
THE SOULMATE POINT
We often hear the term “soulmate” used to describe an incredible connection between two people.
It suggests something beyond ordinary attraction or surface familiarity. Two people meet and somehow connect on a more intimate level.
Whether you accept every romantic idea surrounding the word or not, there is truth inside it:
Deep connection is satisfying, rewarding and nourishing.
That is the post point.
We do not merely want people around us.
We want to KNOW and be KNOWN.
WHO WE ARE NOT
To better understand who we are, let us use the RRR:
The Richie Reverse Rule.
We begin with what we know we are NOT. That eventually helps us recognize what we ARE.
Maybe not immediately—but eventually.
It is one step in the right, INNER direction.
Let’s go there.
THE “YOU ARE NOT” LIST
You are not merely:
- Your thoughts
- Your emotions
- What you tell yourself
- What other people say about you
- Your intellect
- Your bank of skills
- Your dream world
All these things influence you, but none of them alone completely defines you.
Thoughts change.
Emotions rise and fall.
Skills improve or weaken.
Other people’s opinions arrive without being invited—and sometimes need to be shown the door. LOL.
Beneath all that movement is the deeper YOU.
That is the person who needs connection.
ORIGINAL CREATION
We do not fully remember what was present at our beginning.
However, can we agree that God got what HE wanted when He created us?
Connection was not designed as an occasional visit. It was intended to include love, rest, peace and wonder.
THINK:
Full-time love.
Full-time belonging.
Full-time connection with the One who created us.
WORTHY NOTE: None of that is material.
AGING IN PLACE
If you have not discovered meaningful connection on your own, aging will eventually begin teaching the lesson.
Live long enough and you start recognizing what matters, what makes sense, what you want more of—and what you can gladly live with LESS of.
The noise loses some of its authority.
Appearances become less convincing.
Time with someone who understands you becomes more valuable.
Good conversation lasts longer than another purchase.
You begin measuring wealth differently.
MOVIES AND EATS
The idea of connection can even be seen in entertainment and dining.
Consider the memorable movies that left you with closure, warmth, hope or something meaningful to ponder. Something in the story connected with something inside you.
The same principle applies to eating out.
From fast food to five-star dining, the value offered has to connect with the value received if you are going to enjoy the experience and return for more.
The food, service, atmosphere and memory come together.
It must CONNECT.
MARRIAGE
Connection is mandatory if a marriage is going to function deeply—let alone flourish.
There is YOU.
There is HER or HIM.
And then there is US.
All three require attention.
All three remain in a state of development, improvement, correction and, hopefully, pleasure.
A marriage may continue operating on a superficial level, but its incentives and rewards become greatly reduced.
Being in the same house is not necessarily being together.
Sharing a bed is not automatically sharing a life.
Conversation is not always communication.
A couple can exchange information all day without exchanging what is inside their hearts.
PAUSE FOR CAUSE.
The strongest connection is not proven by how often two people speak. It is demonstrated by how safely they can tell each other the truth.
BEING HEARD AND SEEN
When someone realizes they have truly been listened to, they feel understood.
That is deeply rewarding.
When a person is acknowledged—whether for entering the room, making a contribution or quietly carrying a burden—something travels between the people involved.
What is sent and received?
Inner nourishment beyond words.
Sometimes people do not need an immediate answer.
They need an audience.
They need someone to put down the phone, quiet the inner rebuttal and listen long enough to understand.
Being heard says:
“You matter.”
Being seen says:
“You are not invisible.”
Being understood says:
“You are not alone.”
Now THAT is connection.
HAVE IT ALL?
Throughout history, mankind has attempted to substitute possessions and excess for genuine connection.
We are told to get more, become more, display more and consume more.
But if excess satisfied us deeply, humanity would have discovered it by now—and everybody with abundance would be content.
They aren’t.
The wealthy eventually learn that excess cannot satisfy the inner person.
Those without wealth may still believe that it will.
It don’t!
A larger house cannot guarantee more love inside it.
A fuller bank account cannot guarantee a peaceful mind.
A thousand online “friends” cannot guarantee one person who will sit beside you when your world falls apart.
Quantity can fill space.
Only connection can fill the soul.
POVERTY OF SPIRIT
If the soul is not fed with righteousness—God’s goodness—and our spiritual needs remain unaddressed, everything outside us will fail to heal what is happening inside us.
Have you ever visited the refrigerator shortly after eating a full meal?
You are standing there looking for something, but it may not be food.
The stomach has been fed.
Something else has not.
Perhaps it is comfort.
Peace.
Affection.
Purpose.
Reassurance.
Connection.
That is the point.
Good conversation, loving hands and a simple meal shared with someone who cares can fill you more—not less.
CHECK YOUR CONNECTION
Ask yourself:
Who truly knows me?
Who do I listen to without preparing my response?
Does the person closest to me feel heard and seen?
Am I feeding my soul—or distracting it?
Do my relationships reach below the surface?
Is my connection with God active, or have I allowed the signal to weaken?
Devices tell us when their connection has been lost.
Human beings often continue functioning without admitting theirs is gone.
Do not wait for complete isolation before checking your connection.
WE CAN ALL AGREE
We are dust in the wind, visitors and guests here for a short while.
At best, our bodies eventually return to where they came from.
That reality is not intended to depress us. It is intended to awaken us.
Quality over quantity.
Less can be more.
Humility, goodwill toward one another and reverence for something greater—GOD—may reward us more deeply than everything else presented for our approval.
Where your treasure is, there your heart and reward will be also.
FINAL THOUGHT
A person can be surrounded by people, messages and activity while remaining completely disconnected.
Real connection begins when we stop performing long enough to become present.
PEARLS INSIGHT
Human connection improves emotional well-being, relationships and communication—but soul connection goes deeper. It reminds us that satisfaction is not only about what we possess. It is also about whom we love, who understands us and the spiritual purpose holding everything together.
PEARLS FROM THE BOOKS
“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
— Matthew 6:21
PEARLS CONNECTION
Choose one person today and give them a genuine connection:
Listen without interrupting.
Ask how they are really feeling.
Acknowledge something they have contributed.
Offer your complete presence instead of another quick response.
You may feed their soul—and discover that yours was fed at the same time.
RICHIE SPEAKS
The world may keep improving the SIGNAL, but only we can improve the CONNECTION.
Do not confuse contacting somebody with connecting to them.
One reaches the device.
The other reaches the soul.
FINAL SAY
If your life appears full while your spirit feels empty, do not keep adding more things to the outside.
Go inside.
Reconnect with the people who matter.
Reconnect with your purpose.
Reconnect with GOD.
Feed the soul.
Everything else will know it has been fed.
— Richie
Pearls for the Soul
when you feed the soul, you feed everything.
