Some lessons arrive after the damage.
Some arrive in the moment.
And some… arrive before the fall.
LEARNING AFTER THE FACT
This type of learning is called hindsight — a wisdom given to all after the fact.
Everyone has access to it.
Everyone can use it to ward off insanity, which is doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result.
Hindsight works… if you allow it.
If not, the definition of insanity eventually claims the person soon enough.
THE NEXT STEP
At some point, if you heed hindsight, respect it and search for it time and again, it begins rewarding you differently.
It gives you insight — wisdom in the moment.
No longer does wisdom only visit afterward as an instructor.
Now it arrives in real time as a leader and true guide.
AND THEN… THE NEXT
If one shows proper respect, becomes a good steward of all they have, lends helping hands to others and practices humility and moderation, then wisdom begins visiting beforehand.
This is called foresight.
A glimpse of the future in your favor.
Good rewards await those who receive this.
ALL CALLED EVOLVING
All of us possess the ability to evolve.
But not all cultivate this amazing, free and necessary dynamic within themselves.
Failure to move forward, improve oneself and refine the whole being places the person at risk for stagnation.
The refusal to grow slowly sends a person in the wrong direction.
WRONG DIRECTION
Devolving visits subtly at first.
It does not shock you immediately or call attention to itself.
Instead, it quietly begins undoing and reversing all that you are… by what you continually choose not to become.
Letting yourself go promotes a backwards, primitive kind of growth more connected to the animal kingdom than the higher calling placed within humanity.
OUR FATHER
As human beings made in the image of something grand, majestic and deeply coveted, we must accept and work our destiny.
We must take the portion given to us and bring it to its highest purpose and fullest potential.
And when this happens… something else is triggered.
WELL DONE, FAITHFUL & TRUE
More is given to the one who handles life properly and travels in the right direction.
This process allows for error.
It prepares us to fall, rise again and become stronger through our circumstances.
But becoming stronger only to become wronger ends poorly for the human being.
That is not the way.
WHAT TO DO?
Often we do not know what to do.
And this is as it should be because none of us have ever passed this way before.
But while journeying here and allowing life to unfold so you may understand yourself and your purpose, practice the following:
RIGHTEOUSNESS
Seeking the right way and doing the right thing guarantees a certain outcome.
It rewards you while you are doing it.
Right rewards the doer right there and then.
It also begins straightening crooked paths before you even arrive at them, allowing you to travel with more clarity, less resistance and greater peace.
HOPE YOU FAIL?
Along the journey of development, growth and the releasing of potential, anti-growth forces will always appear.
They hawk shortcuts, confusion, doubts, temptations, hesitations and beguilements in hopes the sojourner stumbles and falls.
That is their joy.
USE EVIL FOR GOOD
But the brilliance of truth and goodness teaches you how to use even those forces for good.
At the very least, not to engage them.
At the very best, to use them to strengthen inner resolve, develop character and turn hope into reality.
Then all things become more doable.
LEARN IN ALL THINGS
Learn before the fact.
Learn after the fact.
Or learn in the very moment.
But learn while you still can.
What are we truly learning?
To become good stewards of all that has been introduced to us.
And through that stewardship comes appreciation, gratitude and reverence toward the One who gifted it all.
Then what awaits the faithful…
