Truth is not always painful because it hurts us — often it hurts because it removes the illusions we were using to protect ourselves. Yet the very thing we resist may be the doorway to freedom, peace, and clarity.

HOW MUCH TRUTH CAN YOU STAND?
The other day someone came up to me and shared that they had been wanting to ask me a question for about a week now. It had to do with a LIFE & LOVE matter in their world and they wanted feedback and input. The question they asked was a good one involving an episode in their journey. I asked them something first…
HOW MUCH TRUTH CAN YOU STAND?
We all have blind spots. Meaning, someone else may see or hear something about us that we ourselves are not aware of. We see this everywhere in people, systems, relationships, and life itself. Many things could improve if only we were willing to truly see them.
REALITY
Reality — which is a close and personal friend of truth — respects no one. It simply IS. The obstacle usually becomes perception. Human beings interpret things differently and often protect what they want to believe. Only through testing, reflection, honesty, and follow-through can one arrive at the root of a matter… the truth itself.
CHOICE
But people must want to go there. Trying to force truth upon someone before they are ready usually makes matters worse. That is why life asks us to seek, knock, question, yearn, and investigate. Truth is invited in more than it is imposed.
TRUTH
Truth frees because it removes confusion. It brings closure, peace, understanding, and alignment. The truth sets people free because it finally places them in agreement with what IS instead of what they fear, imagine, deny, or distort.
DEEP WITHIN
People’s thresholds for truth differ greatly. Everyone says they want honesty, but not everyone is prepared to use truth as their default position. Certain areas within a person may remain unexplored because the truth there feels uncomfortable or threatening.
COMFORT LEVELS
Taking responsibility is one of the hardest truths many face. Most people only go as far into honesty as their comfort levels allow. Yet growth lives just beyond those comfort zones.
INTER-FEAR
Fear often enters the process to interfere with truth. Pride also resists honesty because truth dismantles false images we carefully built about ourselves. Add denial, hesitation, and doubt to the mix and many spend years postponing the lessons life placed directly before them.
DON’T PUT OFF WHAT PRESENTS ITSELF
Life continually presents opportunities for correction, healing, refinement, and awakening. Delay often strengthens confusion while honesty clears the path. Seize the moments that invite growth while they are present.
OPTIMUM IS YOUR TRUE DEFAULT
You were not created merely to survive. You were meant to live abundantly and fully awake. Something inside of you already knows this and constantly nudges you toward greater clarity, purpose, peace, and truth.
WHAT POWERS YOU
The Breath of God sustaining life is no myth. It keeps you, preserves you, and calls you toward your intended fullness. We should want to remove anything that blocks us from becoming fully aligned with that greater purpose.
LOOK FOR THIS EVERYWHERE
The truth of a matter is the center of all things. Without truth nothing can stand for very long. Seek it. Welcome it. Suffer for it if necessary. Because when truth finally makes a home within a person, freedom follows close behind.
