We want to believe life is happening to us.
And it is! Don’t doubt this
Life is happening for and to us.
Every season…
Every delay…
Every disappointment…
May be preparing you for something greater.
One of the greatest misunderstandings we have about life is believing that every event should immediately make sense.
We become impatient.
Confused.
Discouraged.
Sometimes even angry.
We ask…
“Why is this happening?”
“What did I do wrong?”
“When will things finally change?”
Yet life has always possessed remarkable timing.
Not our timing.
Its timing.
God’s timing.
A seed never questions why it remains buried.
It simply continues becoming what it was created to be.
Quietly.
Faithfully.
Patiently.
Roots always grow before fruit.
Character always grows before influence.
Wisdom usually arrives before opportunity.
Life understands something we often forget.
Preparation always precedes promotion.
Imagine handing the keys of a powerful automobile to someone who has never learned to drive.
The gift becomes dangerous.
Not because the automobile is bad.
Because the person has not yet been prepared.
God loves us too much to give us certain blessings before we are ready to carry them wisely.
Sometimes His greatest blessing is waiting.
Sometimes His greatest protection is delay.
Sometimes His greatest expression of love is saying…
“Not yet.”
Every disappointment has the potential to become another classroom.
Every obstacle can become another instructor.
Every closed door can quietly redirect us toward the one that was always intended for us.
Nothing is wasted.
Not your tears.
Not your failures.
Not your victories.
Not even your waiting.
Everything can become part of your preparation.
There were seasons in my own life when I believed nothing meaningful was happening.
Looking back…
Those became the years that shaped me the most.
They taught me patience.
Humility.
Gratitude.
Compassion.
Dependence upon God.
Without those seasons…
I would not have recognized the opportunities when they finally arrived.
Perhaps that is where you are today.
You may feel forgotten.
Delayed.
Overlooked.
Please don’t confuse waiting with abandonment.
God has not forgotten your address.
He has not misplaced your name.
He has not lost sight of your purpose.
He is preparing you…
Just as surely as He is preparing what He has prepared for you.
Trust the process.
Trust the timing.
Trust the One who sees the entire journey while we can only see today’s road.
Life is always preparing you.
Not merely for something greater…
But to become someone greater.
And that…
