Life never stops speaking.

Sometimes it whispers.

Sometimes it nudges.

Sometimes it shouts.

The question isn’t whether life is communicating.

The question is…

Are we listening?

There is something fascinating about life.

It is continually communicating with us.

Not only through words.

Through circumstances.

Through people.

Through successes.

Through disappointments.

Through doors that unexpectedly open.

Through doors that quietly close.

Everything has something to say if we are willing to hear it.

The difficulty is not that life has stopped speaking.

The difficulty is that we have become distracted by so much noise.

Noise from the world.

Noise from fear.

Noise from pride.

Noise from our own opinions.

Noise from yesterday’s disappointments.

Eventually, the noise becomes so familiar that we mistake it for truth.

Then something remarkable happens.

We stop listening.

Not only to life.

We stop listening to one another.

We stop listening to wisdom.

Sometimes we even stop listening to ourselves.

Yet the answers have not disappeared.

They are patiently waiting beneath the noise.

LISTENING IS AN ACT OF LOVE

The greatest listeners are rarely the loudest people.

They ask.

They observe.

They pause.

They seek to understand before they seek to be understood.

Listening tells another person,

“You matter.”

“You are worth my attention.”

“I care enough to understand your heart.”

That is one of the greatest gifts anyone can give another human being.

THE INTERRUPTIONS OF LIFE

Life has an interesting habit.

When we ignore small lessons…

Larger lessons arrive.

When we overlook gentle nudges…

More obvious ones appear.

Not because life wishes to punish us.

Because life desires to awaken us.

Sometimes the obstacle isn’t standing in our way.

It is standing there trying to teach us something.

If we become students instead of victims…

Every experience becomes a classroom.

EVERY PERSON KNOWS SOMETHING

Every person you meet knows something you do not.

Every child.

Every elder.

Every stranger.

Every friend.

Every critic.

Every failure.

Every success.

Approach life with curiosity instead of certainty.

Questions open doors.

Assumptions often close them.

KEEP YOUR HEART TEACHABLE

There is no shame in learning.

There is no weakness in changing.

There is no failure in admitting,

“I didn’t know.”

In fact…

That may be the very beginning of wisdom.

The person who believes they already know everything has quietly stopped growing.

Growth belongs to those who remain teachable.

LIFE IS STILL SPEAKING

Even now.

As you read these words.

Life is gently inviting you to notice something.

Perhaps a relationship.

Perhaps your health.

Perhaps your dreams.

Perhaps your faith.

Perhaps simply today’s opportunity.

Whatever it is…

Listen carefully.

Answers often arrive disguised as instructions.

When you stop listening…

You slowly begin losing the very things life has been trying to give you.

When you begin listening again…

Life opens its doors once more.
