ALREADY
FINISHED IS FOOLISH

Some doors…
keep hurting us…
only because…
we continue…
walking back…
through them.
I’ve discovered…
that people…
sometimes return…
to places…
God already…
helped them leave.
Old arguments.
Old guilt.
Old disappointments.
Old failures.
Old relationships.
Old versions…
of themselves.
We revisit…
what happened.
Rehearse…
what was said.
Imagine…
what might…
have been.
And then wonder…
why yesterday…
still feels…
so present.
FINISHED MEANS FINISHED
Not everything…
requires…
another explanation.
Not every ending…
needs…
another conversation.
Not every closed door…
was meant…
to reopen.
Sometimes…
peace begins…
when we accept…
that God…
has already…
completed…
what we keep…
trying…
to continue.
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
What chapter…
has already ended…
that you continue…
rereading…
as though…
the ending…
might change?
PUT LEGS ON IT
Stop rehearsing.
Release the question.
Forgive yourself.
Forgive others.
Thank God…
for the lesson.
Close the door.
Face forward.
Walk peacefully…
into what comes next.
