life isn’t waiting
for a new song.
It’s waiting for someone to play it.
I once watched an old concert pianist sit before a beautiful grand piano.
He didn’t rush.
He didn’t perform immediately.
He quietly rested his hands on the keys.
Then the room filled with music.
The piano had always possessed the ability.
It simply needed someone willing to awaken it.
People are much the same.
Many spend their lives believing they have little to offer.
Little talent.
Little influence.
Little purpose.
Yet I’ve discovered that God has quietly placed remarkable music inside every life.
Some compose.
Some encourage.
Some build.
Some teach.
Some heal.
Some listen.
Some simply make every room they enter a little brighter.
THE COMPOSER
Our greatest contribution isn’t becoming someone else’s song.
It’s discovering the music we’ve already been given.
Comparison silences more hearts than inability ever could.
