A seed buried in darkness cannot see the forest it may become.

It only knows one thing:

Grow anyway.

So should we.

THE SEED NEVER SEES THE TREE

Imagine speaking to a seed.

You show it a giant oak tree.

Branches stretching toward heaven.

Roots reaching deep into the earth.

Birds nesting within its limbs.

Generations finding shade beneath its canopy.

Then you tell the tiny seed:

“You can become that.”

The seed might laugh.

It cannot see the tree.

It cannot imagine the tree.

It cannot understand the tree.

All it knows is darkness, dirt, pressure, and uncertainty.

Yet within that tiny seed is everything required.

THE HIDDEN PROCESS

Growth often begins in places we do not enjoy.

Darkness.

Waiting.

Uncertainty.

Silence.

Many people mistakenly believe nothing is happening during these seasons.

But beneath the surface, roots are forming.

Character is forming.

Faith is forming.

Wisdom is forming.

Strength is forming.

The greatest transformations are often invisible at first.

THE PEARLS CONNECTION

Throughout Pearls for the Soul, there is a recurring lesson:

Do not judge the future by the appearance of the present.

The caterpillar cannot see the butterfly.

The acorn cannot see the oak.

The student cannot see the graduate.

The apprentice cannot see the master.

The seed cannot see the tree.

Yet the potential already exists.

GIRL PEARL

“A girl’s value is not determined by who notices her.

It is determined by who she becomes.”

— Pearls for Girls

How many young women spend years waiting for the world to validate them?

Meanwhile, the greatness already lives inside them.

Grow anyway.

MANOGRAM

“A man who keeps growing eventually becomes impossible to ignore.”

— When Will Men Come Back Again?

The world often rewards visible success.

Life rewards invisible preparation.

THE LONG VIEW

We live in an instant society.

Instant communication.

Instant information.

Instant gratification.

Yet the greatest things still require time.

Trees.

Character.

Relationships.

Trust.

Wisdom.

Purpose.

The important things refuse to be rushed.

RICHIE SPEAKING…

If life currently feels like dirt above you and darkness around you, don’t assume you are buried.

You may be planted.

There is a difference.

Buried things are forgotten.

Planted things are growing.

Feed the soul.

Trust the process.

Keep growing.

One day you may become something today you cannot even imagine.

After all…

The seed never sees the tree.

Yet the tree is already inside the seed.
