Not because the pain was beautiful…
But because His love is.
One of the greatest freedoms in life is realizing you are not imprisoned by yesterday’s chapter.
You are writing today’s.
And today’s choices become tomorrow’s memories.
Perhaps that is why gratitude is so powerful.
It changes the tone of the story.
Forgiveness changes it too.
So does hope.
So does courage.
So does faith.
Every day you are holding the pen.
God supplies the purpose.
You choose the response.
When life surprises you…
Write grace.
When people disappoint you…
Write mercy.
When fear visits…
Write courage.
When success arrives…
Write humility.
When blessings overflow…
Write gratitude.
One day someone will read your life.
Your children.
Your grandchildren.
Your friends.
Perhaps someone you will never meet.
What will they discover?
Will they see bitterness…
Or beauty?
Excuses…
Or perseverance?
Fear…
Or faith?
Remember…
People may never read the books upon your shelf.
But they will always read the life you live.
