Fear has no power of its own.

It survives on borrowed energy.

Yours.

Fear, in and of itself, is a liar.

It makes itself out to be more than it is so it can survive.

What motivates us should be healthy, wholesome, and worthy of support.

Fear is none of these things.

Fear is a dark intruder.

If allowed, it immobilizes.

If supported, it expands.

If believed, it corrupts.

Yet there is something fear desperately hopes you never discover.

FEAR’S BEST FRIEND

Lies.

Fear and lies travel together.

Ask yourself:

Who wakes up in the morning hoping for more fear?

Who desires more confusion?

Who seeks more worry?

No one.

That alone should tell us something.

SELF PRESERVATION

Self-preservation is good.

Necessary.

Healthy.

Given to us for the right reasons.

Fear attempts to piggyback on this gift.

It exaggerates.

It magnifies.

It distorts.

Common sense does not need fear.

Awareness does not need fear.

Experience does not need fear.

Your skills will respond when needed.

Allow them their turn.

THE BODY IS A SHELL

You live within your body.

The body is a vessel.

A container.

A remarkable creation housing both your life and God’s breath.

Treat it well.

Steward it wisely.

But remember:

You are more than the container.

THE CATERPILLAR

A caterpillar goes about its daily business until one day a remarkable process begins.

Transformation.

The old form gives way to something greater.

Something capable of flight.

Perhaps life contains more transformations than we realize.

WHAT FEAR HIDES

Fear wants all attention focused on endings.

Faith recognizes beginnings hidden within endings.

Fear says:

“What if everything goes wrong?”

Faith asks:

“What if everything is unfolding correctly?”

WORTHY NOTE

Fear has no power of its own.

It only possesses the power you lend it.

Stop making loans.

THE INVITATION

Live fully.

Love deeply.

Serve generously.

Trust more.

Worry less.

And when fear arrives, recognize it for what it is:

An uninvited guest.

Not the owner of the house.

YOU WILL KNOW

The moment fear loses your support, something extraordinary happens.

Clarity returns.

Peace returns.

Perspective returns.

Life returns.

The darkness weakens.

The light appears.

And suddenly what seemed overwhelming becomes manageable.

Fear was never the giant.

Belief made it one.
