Sometimes we believe darkness has won.
Then a single light appears.
And everything changes.
There are seasons in life when darkness feels overwhelming.
The diagnosis.
The loss.
The disappointment.
The betrayal.
The uncertainty.
The waiting.
The loneliness.
The darkness whispers a dangerous lie.
It tells us it is permanent.
It tells us nothing will change.
It tells us hope has left.
Yet darkness has a weakness.
It cannot create itself.
It only exists where light is absent.
THE CANDLE
Imagine entering a vast dark room.
Fear immediately grows.
Uncertainty grows.
Confusion grows.
Then someone lights a single candle.
The darkness does not argue.
It does not negotiate.
It retreats.
Not because the candle is enormous.
Because light always possesses authority darkness does not.
