Ready?

Because you already know the answer.

The first person you have to convince about anything…

is YOU.

Ready?

Because you already know the answer.

And if you do not, you will now.

The first person you have to convince about anything is YOU.

YOU have to believe in what you are doing.

You have to believe that YOU are the one who can do it.

And somewhere along the way, you have to believe that you can do it WELL.

Today more than ever, people look beyond the talk, the fancy dress, the marketing, the polished presentation and all the other window dressing.

They want to know:

IS THERE ANY SUBSTANCE HERE?

And before anybody else believes there is…

you better believe it first.

BECAUSE I AM GOOD AT WHAT I DO

People who believe in themselves have invested wisely.

That investment pays dividends for a lifetime.

Now look at the opposite.

Lack of confidence is expensive.

You go into an interview.

You sit down.

You answer questions.

Then comes the mother of all questions:

WHY SHOULD I HIRE YOU?

PAUSE.

Now what?

If you cannot answer with ownership…

if you cannot speak with confidence…

if you cannot explain what you bring…

then why should the person across the desk believe it for you?

Everybody wants the job.

Not everybody believes they belong in it.

That difference can be heard.

WRONG PROGRAMMING AT WORK

I do not allow people to project their dysfunction, defeat, fear or beliefs onto me.

WHY?

Because they may have already convinced themselves that something cannot be done…

and now they are trying to convince ME.

No thank you.

LOL.

I trust my systems over somebody else’s defeatist programming.

People can look similar.

Sound similar.

Dress similar.

But the ones who have done the work…

who have built the experience…

who know their subject…

and who have confidence in what they bring…

do not need to oversell themselves.

A few words are enough.

CONFIDENCE AT WORK.

CHARACTER IS PROOF

Once you have complete confidence over your personal and professional life, something interesting happens.

That confidence begins doing some of the work automatically.

People want to trust.

They need to trust.

And when they find someone who carries themselves with quiet certainty, experience and consistency…

they relax.

They feel closure.

They sense that something is in good hands.

We take for granted the power of experience and success.

But experience leaves evidence.

It shows up in your judgment.

Your timing.

Your tone.

Your restraint.

Your consistency.

Your character.

CATCH YOUR FLOW

After you have built your SKILLS BANK to performance levels…

activated your natural talents…

and begun putting your abilities into the marketplace…

results begin to follow.

Not always overnight.

Not always instantly.

But naturally.

I have seen this in myself.

And I have seen it unfold in others.

A person starts out small.

A young bud.

Then something begins to bloom.

Slow becomes steady.

Steady becomes busy.

Busy becomes swamped.

LOL.

And all the while, the person is growing into the role.

They dress differently.

Think differently.

Carry themselves differently.

Raise their standards.

Raise their expectations.

And before long…

other people begin creating paths to their door.

WHY?

Because they believe there is something there for them.

RICHIE SPEAKS

Here is one Richie rule:

If you do not believe in what you are offering…

do not be surprised when nobody else does either.

LOL.

And another:

Confidence is not bragging.

Confidence is ownership.

One more:

You do not have to tell everybody how good you are.

Do the work long enough…

and they will tell YOU.

PEARLS FROM THE BOOKS

From the spirit of Pearls for the Soul:

“Belief becomes visible when action and confidence begin walking together.”

From the spirit of It Is Finished:

“What you have already proven through experience does not need to beg for permission to exist.”

From the spirit of God I AM:

“Identity strengthens when the inner knowing and the outer action agree.”

PEARLS INSIGHT

Self-belief is not empty positive thinking.

It is confidence built from experience, preparation, repetition, character and results.

When a person knows what they can do and can explain it without exaggeration, trust becomes easier for others to give.

PEARLS CONNECTION

This connects directly with SKILLS BANKS ARE DIFFERENT — YOURS IS UNIQUELY YOURS.

First you discover what you carry.

Then you develop it.

Then you use it.

And eventually you believe in it because you have seen the evidence.

It also connects with LEARN TO ACCEPT SUCCESS.

You cannot receive success comfortably if part of you still does not believe you belong there.

FINAL SAY

The very first person you have to convince…

is YOU.

Believe in your work.

Believe in your preparation.

Believe in your skills.

Believe in your ability to improve.

Then go out and let the evidence speak.

Why do people create paths to someone’s door?

Because they believe something worthwhile is there.

So build something worth believing in.

Then believe in it yourself.

If you believe it…

and back it up with action…

it has a very good chance of becoming so.
