Pause.
Breathe.
Look around carefully.
Stillness, observation and contentment are some of the most overlooked treasures left in modern life — yet they may be the very things the soul is starving for most.

TAKE A FRESH MOMENT
I am speaking of pause.
Smelling roses and waking up to smell the coffee and having a quality frame of mind — less hurried, better paced and with appreciation in your step.
From there, the entire world becomes your oyster and one can take or leave as necessary all that presents itself.
Stillness, observation and contentment is not talked about enough.
ARE YOU CONTENT?
These three words deserve some time-out before answering.
If you have to think too long, then the answer is too obvious.
Contentment is a state of being — self-contained and nourishing unto itself that invites the discoverer to become light-hearted and care-free.
You either have it or you don’t.
SLOW DOWN
When does one realize that the moment they find themselves in, above all things, is priceless in and of itself?
To stop, shut down will, mitigate excessive thoughts and shift into reflection and observation is very rewarding and comes with a bonus too.
INSTRUCTION
It is instructive.
Yes, this state of nothingness is the precursor for a something-ness, but not of your own will, but the part you play in what is going on all around you as the Universe would have it done.
Too often we are too busy with things of our own making when what we should really be attending to goes by the wayside.
THIS WORD HAS WEIGHT
I have often told people this one word which invokes emotional response when in fact it should do otherwise, thus proving itself:
RELAX.
Sometimes, and more often than not, we find ourselves in a hurry wanting a destination, an article, more of something — anything — not knowing how fixated we become for it.
It creeps into our lives and is not content until it takes over.
It drives us instead of us driving it.
GOD-LIKE CONDUCT
There is a time to focus, accomplish a task or take the task before you and realize it, but that is like rising to an occasion and not meant to be a phase that you never come out of or want to stay in.
In a subtle way, you have left the moment to create your own world.
Here, you are responsible for everything.
Exhausting to say the least.
OVERWHELMED
This brings us to another gem if you let it.
Is more better or appreciating what is at hand?
Have you ever seen a child get more gifts than they should?
What happens is they don’t appreciate any gift in and of itself but the many, and the single items go unappreciated.
The overwhelming or gain works against itself.
GOING BLIND?
When one is not centered, in a hurry, becoming less aware and more aggressive, they fail to see themselves as others do because they now become an end to their own means and have no other purpose than to accomplish what that mindset dictates.
This develops into a blind side for the practitioner.
You don’t see your true self, but self-created self.
Your true identity is gone.
WHO’S DRIVING WHO?
Too often people fixate on what they think and want becoming obsessive and compulsive not realizing that the price paid for this mode is a high one indeed.
You lose awareness.
You become obsessed and instead of being your own person, you become a sort of creature necessary to obtain, perform and claim whatever is driving you to do so.
UNIVERSAL LAWS
Remember the rule:
Whatever you get into, gets into you.
There is more going on in the moment than anyone can calculate and many dynamics all lay claim to it too.
The most important and foremost to take note of is the part we play and the part we are not playing.
The big picture demands respect too.
BECOME A STEWARD
If not, we become more of an intelligent animal than a steward of all we see.
That makes us need an animal trainer and from there, bondage to whatever claims you is locked in as you go about claiming it.
Rising above circumstances instead of laying claim to everything allows us to maintain and to steward.
MODERATION
We all have heard it said that “you can’t take it with you.”
Why then would you allow it to intrude in your life journey here to the point where your well-being, satisfaction and calmness is jeopardized?
Borrow as you travel to meet the needs and be content in it for that time.
Moderate it.
THE FLOW
The heart’s desires, which houses the true treasures of the human, houses what will bring you all that you need if you learn to travel inward, discover the freedom of less is more and know that all will come about that is meant to if you don’t interfere but instead go with naturally.
Find your flow on this.
When you keep it real, which is to stay true to the self, you become more real.
Now that is priceless.
